Madrid was the final stop on Team Spain’s Viaje de España. While at this point Megan and I were hardly able to move from all the walking we had done on our travels we persisted and had an incredible time in the capital city of Spain.
Our introduction to Madrid came in the form of our extremely bizarre (German?) hostel manager who first informed me that credit cards were not accepted… even though I had made the reservation using my card… 30 minutes later and after an extremely expensive grocery store run (4 Euro pasta?! SERIOUSLY?!) we were getting the grand tour of the hostel which included an attempt by our hostel manager to be as cliche as possible — “Dis iz du kitchen, Hola everybody! Bon Apetite”
After a quick dinner, a conversation with a super creepy 60 year old guy (who was somehow allowed to stay in our STUDENT hostel), and LOTS and LOTS of hairgel, Megan and I were looking hot and ready to go out with some of our friends who were studying in Madrid.
We had no clue just how crazy and fun Madrid was about to get…
